At the Centro de Linguas there are two types of certificates that you can obtain: an attendance certificate and a level certificate. In order to obtain an attendance certificate, you must attend a minimum of 85% of the course. This type of certificate is offered regardless of whether the course includes a certification exam. In order to obtain a level certificate, it is necessary to pass an exam that measures ability levels in the four basic skill areas: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, and oral expression. The information printed on the level certificate includes the mark obtained on the exam, the dates when the exam took place, the CEFR level, and the candidate’s personal information.
Both of these certificates are issued at least one month after the official publication of the final marks. While certificates issued by the Centro de Linguas do not have an expiration date, their ongoing validity may be limited by the receiving institution.
