The Centro de Linguas was created in 2004 to serve the modern language acquisition needs of the university and the communities associated with it. Working in collaboration with prestigious accreditation entities such as ACLES, Cambridge Assessment English, Instituto Cervantes, ETS TOEFL, etc. We have, after 15 years, become a reference in language teaching and accreditation. Our primary purpose is to provide both general and specialized language training to the university community with the goal of improving the quality of learning and research and to make the Universidade de Vigo a truly international institution. - offer quality language courses, taught by highly-experienced teachers, to the university community and to the general public;
- teach courses of language and culture courses, in collaboration with Campus Spain, designed to help foreign students adapt to Spanish university life;
- design and teach on-demand training programs for professional communities working at the Universidade de Vigo and elswhere, such as EMI for university lectures;
- train prospective Spanish teachers;
- collaborate with public institutions in training programmes;
- give more than 900 accreditation exams every year;
- design, write and give CertAcles exams;
- design, write and give HELA exams for university lecturers who are interested in teaching in English;
- are an official examination centre of DELE and TOEFL iBT.
