In 2017 the Confucius Classroom was created at the University of Vigo, through the Confucius Institute of the University of León, which is an organization dedicated to the promotion of Chinese language and culture and is the official examining center for northwestern Spain. The Centro de Linguas uses the Confucius Classroom at the University of Vigo to organize workshops (calligraphy, paper cut out, cooking) and courses (introduction to Chinese, Chinese cinema), as well as administer the HSK level exam.
